Sweet Potato Chips

Did y'all know that sweetness potatoes are loftier in vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin D, fe, potassium, and magnesium? They're also super delicious and sugariness, merely won't spike your claret sugar like regular potatoes. Score.

These delicious salty, crunchy snacks are one of my favorite ways to eat sugariness potatoes. They are a great replacement for regular fried/trans-fatty potato chips. {I'yard pretty sure I but made upward that cool new discussion, "trans-fatty." You are welcome to employ it. :)}

Anyhow,  these little beauties are super yummy and ridiculously easy to throw together. I'll fifty-fifty share two means to cook 'em. I usually utilize the microwave, which is super quick, just can patently only do small batches at a fourth dimension. Sweetness Irish potato Chips

{makes 4 servings}

Ingredients

one medium sized sweet potato

kosher salt or sea salt

olive oil spray {optional}

Directions

If using the oven, preheat to 400 degrees F. Wash the sweet tater well and so cut into thin slices. I use my mandoline slicer on the thinnest setting, which makes information technology super quick and easy. You want the slices to be compatible and about 1/16th of an inch thick.

OVEN Baked: Adjust potato slices in a unmarried layer on a blistering sheet lined with parchment paper. Spray with a little bit of oil if you choose. MICROWAVE: Cutting a piece of parchment newspaper to fit the drinking glass plate inside your microwave. Lay the spud slices in a single layer on the parchment. Spray with a petty bit of oil if you choose. Again, you don't need to use oil at all, simply I do use just a little considering the chips seem to come out a little crispier. {Run across above for the type of mister I use}. Sprinkle with salt and microwave on l-threescore% ability for 8-x minutes. Continue an eye on them and have them out when they start to very lightly brownish. Again, you'll really need to lookout man them closely because they tin fire apace. Let absurd before eating.

Notation: Because sweet potatoes vary so much in size, this nutrition information was a piddling tricky to figure out.
